"Major Manning Rides Florida" for the Denis V. Cooper Foundation
Patrick J. Manning is a retired U.S. Army Major and a retired Law Enforcement Officer. Major Manning served for over 22 years in the Army, as an Army Aviator and Military Police Officer.
He was deployed in 2005 -2006 to Iraq for 546 days (but who was counting). This Army service was part time as Patrick worked in Law Enforcement for 28 years for the Penn Hills Police Department which is just outside Pittsburgh, PA. After a brief 3 day retirement in 2014 he joined the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and worked another 10 years as a deputy sheriff mainly on Anna Maria Island.
Patrick and his fantastic / wonderful wife Corrie (RN working at a local Bradenton surgery center) have been married for 30 years and are the proud parents of Jacob (Tampa, Florida) and Maxwell and his wife Abby ( Port Orange Florida).
Patrick has a passion for giving back to his country and his local community. In retirement he enjoys riding a road bike.
When asked why he wanted to ride the 256 miles across Florida for the Denis V. Cooper foundation he simply said "to just give back". He said we all have time, talent and money and we should use those things to help others, just like Denis V. Cooper foundation does to give back to veterans.
We all should look at our time, talent and money and realize we have more than most people and should give what we can to help veterans that have served our nation and make their lives better.
Please take a moment and consider you have more than most people and donate to this cause.Patrick will use his time and bike riding talent and you can use your money to change the situation of a veteran today.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 22nd, 2026. The Mustang Club of West Central Florida proudly presents the 34th Annual Ponies Under the Palms Charity Car Show. Stroll along Lakewood Ranch Main Street from 9am - 3pm, for a beautiful experience.
More than just a car show, this event brings the automotive community together to support two outstanding local charities that are making a real difference in the lives of others.
Take Stock in Children provides scholarships, mentoring, and hope to deserving students, helping them pursue college or trade school opportunities after graduation. Every dollar donated has an even greater impact because the State of Florida matches qualifying contributions, doubling the support these students receive.
We are also honored to support Denis V. Cooper Foundation – Wishes for Heroes, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for military veterans and their families. Through the generosity of supporters, this remarkable program helps make dreams come true for veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country.
By attending, sponsoring, or participating in Ponies Under the Palms, you're helping create opportunities for local students and bringing hope and support to our nation's heroes.
Join for a day of beautiful cars, great people, and a shared commitment to giving back to our community.
